This oval lace pendant necklace makes a meaningful gift for a 13th wedding anniversary, known as the lace anniversary (traditional gift) or textile anniversary (modern gift).
It's created with authentic 1920s beige lace with a unique, open weave pattern that's layered over rich burgundy cotton fabric for an eye-catching contrast. Set securely within a cast oval pewter pendant with aged copper plating, the pendant has a nice weight without being heavy.
The lace used in this necklace was originally produced in France for fine garments and decorative trims. In the early 20th century, France was known for being the source for the finest quality textile artistry.
Each pendant is individually handcrafted with the exact lace placement shown in the photos. Due to the antique nature and limited quantity, only a small number of pendants in this design will be created.
The pendant hangs from a copper-tone soldered link chain with a softly polished finish. Chain lengths are available to suit personal preference (the model is shown wearing an 18" chain). Custom lengths are available by request.

Metals:
Most pendants and chains are made with plated metals with a brass base, and a sealant that covers the metal. Most ear wires and posts are made with hypoallergenic gold stainless steel, or brass and gold-plated metals. All items are nickel-free.
Fabrics and lace:
Most fabrics and lace are vintage to antique in age (vintage being 25+ years old, and antique being 100+ years old). Cotton, linen, silk, and blends are the most common materials.
